Barron’s AP United States History

Description

This laboratory manual will guide students through the basics of animal behavior analysis, experimental design, and prompt them to write reports. It is intended to be used in a college setting, but may be appropriate for more advanced high school classrooms. Students will learn to develop an ethogram and use it to collect behavioral data. They will also be prompted to design their own experiments through leaning on inquiry-based learning. Students will also be prompted to write lab reports in sections that mimic the structure of primary scientific literature. Through this prompting, students will learn both how science is conducted and presented. In these engaging lessons, students will interact with everything from the very small (i.e. termites and bean beetles), to the large, such as zoo animals.
