Description
This, the first of the two volumes devoted to Qur’an manuscripts produced in the period after 1600, deals mainly with Ottoman, Iranian, and Indian Qur’ans of the 17th and 18th centuries, but also includes material from China and North and East Africa. There are 78 entries and 10 essays on different aspects of Qur’an manuscript production, which – in several cases – break new ground.
