Description
Stefan K邦rten’s paintings investigate the house as site of warmth and comfort, as idyll and lifestyle symbol–though humans are always absent from his interiors. K邦rten works from black-and-white photographs and adds color and ornamentation so that his spaces become archetypal and dislocated. He is represented in New York by Alexander and Bonin.
