Sgt. Puig was doing the night shift on one of the ten ABPs of the Barcelona∩s Metropolitan Police. That ※Basic Police Area§ on Marina Street was the Mossos d∩Esquadra’s central station of all the precincts in the Horta-Guinard車 district. Sergeant Joan Carles Puig-i-Valls was the head of the UI, the investigation Unit. As the suicide happened on his shift, the sergeant was in charge of Moretti∩s case. He wanted to quickly review all the victim’s belongings to reclassify the case as a suicide and file it but a call from a European Anti-terrorist agency wanting those items changed his plans.Puig was curious 每 being suspicious was part of his nature. He wanted to know why there was so much interest in a drunk tourist who killed himself. The sergeant contemplated the puzzle he just laid out on that white table. He had little time left. He put the folders aside to make copies and continued reading the thicker binder from one of the boxes.
