Description
The Aftermath of the battle at Hattin left all of Christendom in chaos. Jerusalem was lost to King Saladin, as Europe struggled to regroup. Those survived by the fallen General, Thomas Ramsdell, fight to regain what is left.
The last Templar, Michael, once restored from slavery finds himself amidst the Elders of Sion, who try to recruit him. He rejects this, convinced that he is meant to be a soldier, and his lust for infidel blood cannot be satisfied. Rachael produces the heir Thomas so desired, but the Templars will not free the hold they have placed on his estates. Thaddeus is forced to come to terms with his lifestyle, once his adventures cost him his entire crew. Alone, he seeks to help the Lady Rachael and his first mate Gregory in their quest. In the end, he seeks the Lady Rachael .
King Henry II is at odds with his son, and heir to the throne Richard; and although all have promised to take up the cross and proceed, no crusade has been launched.
It is the spirit of the young woman, Rachael, along with the indebtedness of the Knight Michael, the diligence of Gregory and the greed of Captain Thaddeus that in the end reap the harvest they desire.
This book is technically Book III of my series, but it follows Volume I: The Maid, the Monk and the Man of the Sea very nicely by taking up where that story leaves off. It is fast paced, and full of passion and adventure.
I truly hope you enjoy it.
Thank You.
